““World Famous Dundee”
My father called from Texas. My grandparents emailed. Friends texted from around the country. Like many of our neighbors, I’m still basking in the positive attention that our neighborhood received due to Sir Paul McCartney’s visit. The former Beatle was hosted by our own Warren Buffett at Dario Schicke’s now world famous restaurant – Avoli Osteria. After dining, they were spotted by a few fans at ecreamery. Of course, the pictures went viral – on face- book, Twitter, and the national news. Omaha’s 16 year old Tom White is world famous for his “selfie” (not really) of Buffett and McCartney on a bench on Underwood enjoying their ice cream. Of course, only in Omaha – in a great neighborhood like Dundee, could these famous icons be so at ease. The world’s seriousness faded away for a few moments while these guys just enjoyed life – and a little of ecream- ery’s award winning Vanilla ice cream! Eat your heart out Shark Tank.”
