Dundee-Memorial Park is One of the Ten Best.

In October of 2011, the Dundee-Memorial Park neighborhood was named one of the nation's 10 best by the American Planning Association, a nonprofit community development group. Our neighborhood was cited for its "varied residential architecture, strong sense of community and ongoing commitment of residents to care for and beautify the neighborhood”.

The neighborhood is also included on the National Register of Historic Places.

Dundee-Memorial Park Neighborhood
The Dundee-Memorial Park neighborhood, located in central Omaha, Nebraska, is adjacent to Memorial and Elmwood parks, which border the University of Nebraska, Omaha. The area features well-maintained, early 20th century homes and distinctive cast iron  streetlights. From May to October, several hundred large flower baskets are displayed on these lights.

Dundee-Memorial Park Association
The Dundee-Memorial Park Association (DMPA) is an active organization whose strength is a core of capable, energetic people who enjoy working to preserve and improve the quality of the neighborhood, and a membership that strongly supports DMPA activities through volunteer efforts and participation in the association's system of area and street captains.

Volunteers Needed.

Flower Basket Watering Volunteers Needed.  Dan Rock is putting together the summer schedule for volunteers to water and fertilize our fine Dundee Memorial Park flower baskets. He could really use some help. If you, or someone you know, would enjoy contributing to our best-known project, Dan would like to hear from you. Usually, volunteers are scheduled for a week at a time to water baskets on a designated route through the neighborhood.  If you’d like to help, call Dan at 402-558-4913 or e-mail him at drock@ellickjones.com for more details. Thank you.
